Meet the team

Dr. Sidra Yaseen grew up in Southern California and attended the University of Southern California, where she received her Bachelors degree in Biology. She then went on to the prestigious University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, the nation’s only accelerated dental school. She completed a General Practice Residency at the Staten Island University Hospital. She practiced in Philadelphia for a couple of years before moving to Connecticut.

Dr. Yaseen lives in South Glastonbury with her husband and two sons. She enjoys coffee, trying new restaurants, watching lots of TV and movies, traveling, and spending time with her family. She dislikes mushrooms, olives, and messy spaces.

office administrator

Mary Lou has been working in dental administration for over 26 years and has been part of the Nayaug Family Dental family since 2005. Her goal here is to make each and every patient who comes into the office feel as if they are the most important patient the practice has…because they are!

Mary Lou and her husband live in South Glastonbury with their rescue dogs and four parrots. Her children are grown and live out of state, and she has grandchildren in New Hampshire that are the lights of her life. (Go ahead, we dare you to ask her about them!)

In her free time Mary Lou enjoys playing Words with Friends and Wordle, watching reality TV, reading, taking day trips with her husband on the weekends, crafting, and crocheting.

dental assistant

Danielle is our amazing dental assistant. She completed her training at Porter and Chester Institute and received her certification in Dental Assisting in 2015. Since then Danielle has worked proficiently to expand her dental knowledge. She has mastered the art of taking x-rays comfortably for each patient. She has an impeccable chair side manner. Danielle enjoys creating a comfortable environment for each patient, caring and talking with them throughout their treatment.

Danielle was adopted from Paraguay as a baby and raised in East Hartford. She comes from a very large, loving Italian family. She is outgoing and understanding, kind-hearted and enjoys a great laugh.

Danielle enjoys cooking, working out, watching shows and documentaries. She also enjoys trying new cuisines, traveling and relaxing in the sun when the weather is nice.

hygienist

Judy has been a Registered Dental Hygienist at Nayaug Family Dental for over twenty two years. She received her Dental Hygiene degree from Tunxis in Farmington, her anesthesia certification from Bridgeport University, and a BA in psychology from the University of Rhode Island.

Judy has lived in Glastonbury most of her life. She enjoys spending time boating with her husband, four kids, two dogs, and extended family in Block Island, Mystic, and Groton Long Point.

She is dedicated to bring a gentle but thorough touch to all of her patients’ dental care!

hygienist

Ann Marie is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Tunxis Community College. She also has her certification in Local Anesthesia and is currently enrolled in Quinnipiac University to further her studies.

Prior to graduating from Dental Hygiene school she worked as a Pediatric Dental Assistant and loves working with children. Ann Marie is passionate about oral health and providing her patients with a comfortable atmosphere.

When not in the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and puppy. She likes to hike, garden and read.
